What you should know about Spanish
Spanish is spoken by approx. 406 million people as a native language, making it second only to Mandarin in terms of the number of native speakers worldwide. There are also 60 million speakers of Spanish as a second language and a further 20 million students of Spanish as a foreign language.
Spanish is spoken in 21 countries in Europe and Latin America. The latter, headed by Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico and Panama, represents an important region in the global economy. Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, and is used as an official language by the European Union.
Course descriptions
In the Bachelor's Programme two courses are offered per semester, in the Master's Programme one course per semester is on offer.
